The Business commenced in 1974 trading as Scorpio Meats, located in Heidelberg, (a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) operating a small beef boning room. As a joint venture with two partners who were previously involved in the meat industry, one a farmer and the other a butcher, Scorpio was set up as a meat wholesale business to service butchers and small food take-away shops.


Scorpio Foods is an Australian family owned and operated food service business, a HACCP and AQIS accredited exporter. The Paterson family’s focus is to provide the best quality meat and poultry products from the paddocks and farms of the east coast of Australia, including free range and organic, sourced from quality endorsed suppliers who meet the highest industry quality and safety standards.
